The result is a plan that fits on a single page. 

Because it’s not lengthy and you didn’t spend an excessive amount of time and money creating it, your plan isn’t treated as preciously.

Things change FAST these days. Your organization needs to be able to do the same.

The elements of your plan may be easily be swapped out as they are completed, changes in the environment render them obsolete, or you find out BY DOING during implementation that a different approach would be best.

In this way, your plan also acts as a ‘management system,’ allowing everyone to understand how their day-to-day work tangibly contributes to the greater good of your organization.

Strategic planning is often done by facilitators that have little to no strategic planning or implementation experience.

We’ve done it all.

And our planning methodology reflects that.

It’s not just about the planning; it’s about creating something that’s going to be actioned.

We certainly love doing our work in-person as well. 

However, COVID brought about changes that resulted in more organizations doing their planning online.

Fortunately, we already had extensive experience in online events, workshops, and training.

We have used that experience to address the different requirements of virtual planning.

A combination of a varied and engaging agenda with digital tools that make the experience seamless, allows us to get you the same planning outcomes as an in-person workshop.

As we begin to emerge from the pandemic, many workplaces are choosing to continue planning virtually.

In a word, “No.”

Our methodology reflects our belief that long strategic plans are a waste of resources.

We also believe that YOU are the experts in your industry and organization.

At the end of your planning workshop, you will have completed your own One Page Plan.

That’s all you need.

Subject to our availability, this depends on the complexity of the engagement and your team members’ availability.

We typically recommend securing your dates anywhere from 4-8 weeks in advance.

We can work with groups of virtually any size.

However, we refer to those aspects of the process as ‘Engagement’ and not ‘Planning.’

For example, if you want to involve 200 colleagues in your strategic planning process, we would create some additional Engagement workshops that create the opportunity for information gathering.

This information would then be collated and used to inform the Planning workshop, which would be attended by those that hold responsibility for setting organizational strategy – your leadership team and, in some cases, board.

The length depends on the size of your planning group and your organizational culture.

Taking leadership’s time away from day-to-day work can create additional stress amongst your team. For this reason, we keep our processes as short as possible.

If there is a lot of conflict amongst the team or there is an established decision-making culture that allows significant time for discussion, this can also lengthen the process. 

First-and-foremost, our job is to suggest a process that will be effective, not just efficient.
